Beekeeping Taster Day 15th September 2024

Come to one of our very popular taster days. Learn about the fascinating world of honey bees and beekeeping. These one day courses are designed to get a feel for what beekeeping is all about.
 
The day will cover an introduction to the life of the honeybee, the structure of a hive and where these should be sited.
 
We will look at the equipment needed to become a beekeeper and discuss the products of the hive. The day will conclude on what to do next to become a beekeeper.
 
The coursewill be held on Sunday February 18th 2024  at Newstead Village Hall near Melrose (TD6 9DX) from 10 am to 4 pm
